Welcome to the Women in Tech Excellence Awards!
The Women in Tech Excellence Awards is a celebration of the incredible women working in technical IT roles. Despite the tireless work of advocates in the tech space, the gender ratio still leans towards men.
By hosting these awards, we at Computing want to shine a light on the outstanding contributions of women in the tech field and help to encourage the next generation of diverse talent.
Who can enter
For our individual awards: Women who work in technical roles, either in an IT department or in a tech company. Our categories span all levels, from Graduate of the Year all the way up to IT Leader of the Year. You can nominate yourself, or on behalf of a colleague.
For our company awards: Any company with an IT department or technology companies. You can nominate your own organisation, or on behalf of another one.
NEW for 2026
We have introduced an award for Advocate/Educator of the Year. This award is open to all genders and honours individuals who are strong advocates for increasing female representation in the tech industry.
The process
There are 3 stages to the process. Nominations are open to everyone. Then nominees are asked to submit entries including more detail on why they should win. Finally, the shortlist is announced and the judging board reviews all the nominee entries. Winners are revealed at the ceremony on 26 November. More details are here.
